How do I use the web site to do actual calculations?
You cannot do actual calculations with the web site. It is designed
to teach the user how to use his or her calculator. It is not designed
to actually do calculations. I suggest that if you are in frequent need
of doing these types of calculations, you should purchase the HP 10B.
Many retail department stores like KMart or WalMart carry the calculator as
well as office supply stores like Staples or Office Depot. For Clarion
students, the calculator is a course requirement for all of the real estate
courses so the university bookstore carries them with the textbooks. (Usually
the bookstore has a very competitive price and you save the tax if you buy it
in the textbook section.)
The best way to use the web site is to plan some significant study time (at
least 20 minutes) and work the calculator problems as they are presented in
the web site. Trying to read about the solution without actually doing
the calculations on your own calculator will not help you learn very well.
